Dr. Nikolaos G. Babouskos was born in Piraeus in 1980. He is a registered professional Civil Engineer. He received a civil engineering degree from the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA (2003), an M.Sc. degree in "Structural Design and Analysis of Structures" from the School of Civil Engineering of the NTUA (2005), and a Doctoral Degree in "Structural Engineering" from the School of Civil Engineering of the NTUA (2011).
Since 2004, he has provided teaching assistance in the courses Structural Dynamics and Boundary Elements of the undergraduate and the postgraduate course of the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA. Since 2017, he has been a member of the teaching staff of Metropolitan College where he teaches the courses Engineering Mechanics, Advanced Mathematics and Modelling, Structural Analysis and Element Design and Structural Engineering.
He has co-authored 34 scientific publications (12 in international journals and 22 in proceedings of international conferences). He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Computational Mechanics (HSTAM). His research interests are in the field of static and dynamic, linear and nonlinear analysis of plates, in stability problems, structural optimization, viscoelastic and composite materials.
